The Ukulele group meets in the Fochabers Institute on most Wednesday mornings, and has around 25 members at the moment; from beginners to more experienced players. The Ukulele is one of the easiest instruments to learn. Complete beginners are very welcome & can join in very quickly. There is a huge amount of ukulele beginners and support material on the internet to help you get started - Have a look here >>>>>

Our meetings involve learning new playing techniques and songs, and singing along to tunes we enjoy.

We have a collection of many of the best songs from the present day back to the Roaring Twenties and beyond, adapted for the Ukulele, to play and sing along with. We are constantly adding to our repertoire, and have great fun along the way.

We also regularly perform and present concerts and singalong sessions for local organisations such as OAP, BALL Groups and Care homes all across Moray. We have performed some 40 singalong gigs in the last year.

If you are a complete beginner, and might be interested in joining us, please let us know, and we will arrange for you to come along and meet us and have a go on a ukulele. Contact the Ukulele Group leader here: Ukulele
