u3a

Elgin & District

The u3a is an organisation that encourages people, fully or semi-retired, to keep their minds & bodies young by joining in activities & interests, in friendly surroundings, with like-minded folk. It is one of the fastest growing organisations in the UK, there being more than 1000 u3as and over 400,000 members.

Elgin & District u3a offers a variety of interest groups, each led by the members themselves. These groups range from music to study-based subjects such as languages, science or local history, & to more recreational topics, including walking, sports, dance and indoor games. They meet in members’ homes, or at a public venue, in which case the Group members share the hire costs. For a nominal annual fee, members may join as many groups as they wish.
